revealing the artistry of love
I was thrilled to have the honor to capture the beginning of Lisa & Travis’s journey of parenthood! As you can tell from the images below, Travis & Lisa are full of joy anticipating the arrival of their sweet baby girl. After having 3 babies myself, I can relate to how fast this little part of it goes. You blink and your baby is here in your arms and your heart is melting and so full of love at the same time. So CAPTURE it! just like Travis & Lisa did!View full post »
Bethany and Garen were married before the judge this past Wednesday, March 9th in Peoria, IL. I was delighted to get a chance to sit down with Bethany before her wedding and discuss the ideas for her short and sweet ceremony. We decided to add on a session after to further imprint this wonderful day in their memory through photographs.
After our family session in downtown Peoria’s courtyard, Bethany & Garen’s parents informed them they had a SURPRISE night’s stayView full post »
Megan and I had been emailing back and forth confirming a date to shoot for her and Matthew’s engagement session. My beautiful and dear friend (also sis-in-love) is on to something. She’s making waves in the wedding industry in Central Illinois and beyond. Hands down, she is the BEST floral designer in the area. And other people are catching the surf. She was ever gracious to do my very first styled shoot back here called Softly & Tenderly last Spring. Graduating with a degree in Horticulture from University of Illinois, she cultivated and developed her love and gifting of creating beauty.

The Helliges who won a family session that I had donated to a fundraiser to benefit our dear Meekie Johnson from our church family. Meekie was diagnosed with cancer, and this family was one of the many to rally around to pray and support the Johnson family. Meekie is now with Jesus – her place of true rest and comfort. During her last few days, she actually mentioned to our pastor that he and the church were the ones that SHE was praying for because she was glimpsing HEAVEN and weView full post »
